About:
Currently getting my "new style" C&P Pilot tabletop press cleaned up and running with new rollers. Am in the learning/experimental phase of letterpress printing and will be growing my line of cards and coasters on this press. I work with a local printer for larger jobs and was on press all day with them for my first designs (we used a Heidelburg windmill) and fell more in love with letterpress.
Interview with Anne from Tilia Press
When did you start letterpress printing?:
2011
What do you like best about letterpress printing?:
I'm a paper person so I just love the texture a good impression makes
What inspires you?:
Color, paper, vintage textile patterns, nature, my 2 cats.
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?:
First designs were printed (with the help of Norms Printery) on a Heidelburg windmill. We used Legion Bamboo paper. Currently cleaning up a "new style" C&P Pilot press - dreaming of a owning a Golding Pearl one day when I am more experienced and have the space.
How would you describe your artwork?:
Hand sketched, nature inspired, bold, clean.
What kind of products do you create?:
Greeting cards, blank note cards, and in the near future, coasters!
Do you offer custom work?:
no
Where can we buy your products?:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/TiliaPress?section_id=10005270
Is there anything you wished you had known as a beginner?:
I just wish I started printing sooner and not been afraid of the process so I would be a more advanced printer.
