just the two of us
Please let us introduce ourselves....Here is a little something about us and our work..... ." We are Christie&Caleb, partners in art and life........Christie, former painter turned letterpress printer and Caleb, art school dropout, turned tattoo artist. We bonded seven years ago over a love of thrift stores, music and quirky collections.....three rescue dogs, a grand old lady of a house from the 1930's and a beautiful friendship with an old-timey printer..*poof* Roll&Tumble Press is born. We print the traditional way,( no computers or plastic plates in our shop)....we begin with all our own original illustrations, hand cut into wood or linoleum, one block for each color, we pair this with antique wood or metal type, each letter painstakingly set by hand by yours truly, all hand mixed inks and hand crank each one on a Vandercook, Universal 1, all this magic happens in the Sunny South, in Little Rock Arkansas. Oh, and in our "spare" time , we also own and operate a full service, custom tattoo shop............welcome to our ink filled world!
