Lettica is my adventure in freelance design. I aim to demonstrate how print-based design can still be both valuable and attractive. And in the process of doing so I hope to have a wonderful time meeting like-minded print-loving people and indulging my love of type and letterpress printing. In 2003 I graduated from the University of Reading with a first class degree in Typography & Graphic Communication before working as a designer in the higher education sector for ten years.

Interview with Sarah from Lettica
When did you start letterpress printing?:
What do you like best about letterpress printing?:
I like the tactile and sensory nature of the process from start to finish - the feel and smell of the paper, setting type, mixing ink, the sound of the press, the feel of the finished items.
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?:
I have an Adana 8x5, and use Fabriano Rosaspina paper for my greetings cards, although I enjoy printing on other materials like beermats and luggage labels too. I use linseed-oil based inks.
What kind of products do you create?:
I mainly create cards and other stationery items like luggage labels.
Do you offer custom work?:
