Wilber H. “Chip” Schilling creates fine press books, artists’ books, broadsides and prints—specializing in design, photography, letterpress printing and binding. Since 1992, he has worked under the imprint of Indulgence Press. Schilling earned a BA in history and photography from Clark University (Worchester, MA) and an MFA in book arts and printmaking from The University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA). His work is collected and exhibited internationally. Schilling currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Fine Press Book Association and for the Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art. He has taught at the College of Visual Arts, the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Carleton College, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Most recently he taught in the graduate program at Columbia College Chicago on a one year visiting lecturer appointment.

Type, images and Ideas.
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?: 
I print on a Vandercook sp-20, #4 and a 8 X 12 C&P. Generally I use Van Son Inks and print on a various printmaking papers and Fox River & Cranes Lettra commercial papers.
What kind of products do you create?: 
Books, broadsides, cards & art work.
