My shop started a long time ago, in my heart. My sister and I spent hours collecting pretty papers and looking at them, yes, just looking at them and it was way back then that the tiny Honizukle seed was planted. As a child, I loved design without knowing it. Collecting pretty wrapping paper, admiring typography and noticing beautiful packaging before I even knew what it all was. Some years back I discovered letterpress and I knew that was the missing piece in my little stationery heart. Now I spend hours dreaming up designs I love to print. There's nothing better than grabbing a cold coke, new plates and some fresh paper and mixing inks to see how it's all going to turn out. Now in full bloom, my designs are reflections of the things I love and enjoy and I hope a little bit of happiness reaches you through them.

Interview with Kimberly from Honizukle Press
When did you start letterpress printing?:
What do you like best about letterpress printing?:
I love how you plan a design and then watch it come to life one color at a time. That anticipation and then finally seeing it all come together is amazing!
What inspires you?:
I find inspiration in almost everything, however, what inspires me most are clean lines and simple design. I like simplicity and the use of color. These days I also find a lot of inspiration in my son and my husband. Basically, I design for myself and what I would like to have.
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?:
I own a C & P Pilot Press. I like to use rubber based ink although I occasionally use oil based inks as well. The paper I print on most is Lettra but also like Arturo's and Strathmore papers.
How would you describe your artwork?:
My work is very much a reflection of myself. I've had a long love affair with stationery, ever since I was a little girl. In essence, I design the things that I would like to buy myself. If I had to pick two words they would be simple and soft.
What kind of products do you create?:
I make greeting cards and personal and event stationery like wedding invitations, baby announcements, party invitations, etc.
Do you offer custom work?:
Where can we buy your products?:
Do you offer workshops? If yes, what kind of?:
No but maybe some day.
Is there anything you wished you had known as a beginner?:
Lots of things! But it's been an adventure to slowly figure things out on my own and with the help of others. I think about how long I wanted to do letterpress and I can't believe I'm here now, it's amazing and I'm sure I still have a lot more to learn.
