Interview with Cat from Halo & Horns Press
When did you start letterpress printing?:
What do you like best about letterpress printing?:
Making people happy when they see their finished product
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?:
C&P Pilot with Van Son oil-based inks and Crane Lettra, Arturo, and Holyoke papers
How would you describe your artwork?:
What kind of products do you create?:
Invitations, note cards, calling cards, menus, place cards, business cards ... almost anything, really!
Do you offer custom work?:
Is there anything you wished you had known as a beginner?:
When I first started printing, I read a suggestion from someone’s blog to use those little photo corner triangles for paper registration instead of gauge pins. They are brilliant! I bought like 250 of them for a couple bucks and I never had to worry about smashing them between the base and the platen. The gauge pins I tried to use at the time were not so lucky ...
