Interview with Meghan from Brown Dog Paper
When did you start letterpress printing?:
May 2012
What do you like best about letterpress printing?:
Letterpress printing lends a weight and dimension to clean, minimalist design. Each item is a handcrafted work of art, and each piece is unique. What's not to love?
What inspires you?:
We're inspired by clean, minimalist and functional design, bright colors, coffee, great literature, and the elegance of nature.
Which press(es), ink & paper do you usually use?:
We print using a C&P 12x18, a C&P 8x12 and the best little Adana 8x5. Our favorite papers include Mohawk Loop, Crane Lettra, and Savoy, and our favorite inks are rubber-based Van Son.
How would you describe your artwork?:
Our artwork doesn't take itself too seriously.
What kind of products do you create?:
We print fun greetings and stationery, invitations, and art prints.
Do you offer custom work?:
yes
Where can we buy your products?:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/browndogpaper
